WWII Veteran
James retired from the US Air Force after serving in both theaters. He was shot down over Europe during WWII. He is survived by his children, Jim (Kathy) Blackford, Laurel Zepeda; grandchildren, Matt (Mary) and Sean Blackford, David and Christian Zepeda; great grandchildren, Caroline and Nick Blackford.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
