James Elrod

James Dwight Elrod, age 91 of North Branch, formerly of Columbia Heights, MN, died peacefully while surrounded by his family on Tuesday, July 23, 2013. He proudly served our country in WWII. He retired from Honeywell after 30+ years of service. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Eulala; brothers, Ralph, Calvin, Everett; sister, Gwen Carlson. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Barbara; children, Lee (Barbara), Lynn (Neville) Wilson, Jeffrey (Lois), Jay (Lori); thirteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother, Merle (Norma) Elrod; other family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 2, 2013 at Brookdale Covenant Church, 5139 Brooklyn Blvd, Brooklyn Center, MN 55429. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday at the church; and one hour prior to the service. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
