James Erickson

James Louis Erickson, age 78, of Forest Lake, Beloved husband, father, grandpa and great grandpa, passed away suddenly on Aug. 11, 2011. Preceded in death by parents, Robert & Lois (Ball) Erickson; sister Julaine Fitch. He is survived by his wife Lois; sons, James, Bob (Lisa), Bill (Stacy), Ed (Sharon), Rick (Laurie) Jennrich; daughters, Terri (Phil) Wrabek , Lisa (Pat) McGlade, Debbie (John) Schannach, Donna Szulim; brothers, Jerry, Tom (Corky); many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and beloved dog Kayla. Jim retired from Hamm's Brewery after 42 years. He proudly served with the US Army (1950-1954), Armored Tank Division in the Korean Conflict. Jim was an active member with American Legion Post 225 and VFW Post 4210, where he also served on the Honor Guard. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation 5:00-8:00 p.m., Monday at Mattson Funeral Home, with Military Honors at 8 PM. Visitation will continue one hour prior to service on Tuesday. Private family interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to VFW Post 4210.
