James Martin

James E. "Jim" Martin, age 87, longtime Forest Lake Resident, died Wednesday, December 2, 2015. Jim enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, playing cards and bowling. He was active in the K of C. In his free time, Jim coached youth sports in the Forest Lake area for many years. Together, Jim and Ella enjoyed their winters in Lake Havasu, Arizona. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Frances; wife, Ella; brother, Robert. He is survived by his children, Craig (Julie), Todd, Carol (Dan) Keene; seven grandchildren; brother, Richard (Donna) Martin; nieces, nephews, family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 11, 2015 at The Church of Saint Peter, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday and 9:00-10:00 a.m., Friday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Forest Lake.
