James Wilbert Schumann age 60, of Pine City, Minnesota passed away Friday, November 8, 2024 after a tragic motorcycle accident uncovered, he had terminal cancer.
Jim was born May 27, 1964 to Wilbert and Florence (Levickis) Schumann in Hugo, Minnesota. He married Eva Diaz on October 16, 1998 in Marine on Saint Croix; together they raised three children, Arianna, Tayah and Jack. He was an amazing father. He loved classic cars, motorcycles and dirt bikes. He grew up around motorcycles, so they became a staple in his life. He loved to ride, even when he was sometimes caught in the rain. He always had a huge smile when he was on his bike. Jim also loved animals, but was definitely a cat person although he enjoyed babysitting Arianna’s ferret. As a family, he loved to listen to and read daily devotions from our All God’s Creatures book where people shared stories of how God‘s gift of pets, comforted and protect them. It was a meaningful devotional time. He loved as we all shared what the daily devotion meant to us. Jim also was patriotic. He loved our country. He was a proud American. He loved to talk to everyone and make new friends and always would lend a hand to someone in need. Always.
For 25 years, he worked in Injection Molding until he was diagnosed with MS and took a job that was pretty much made for him which was selling motorcycle parts at Dennis Kirk. Jim fought so hard and bravely after his accident, but it was time for him to rest. He was surrounded by his loving family as he was told how much he was loved to the end.
He is survived by his wife, Eva Schumann of Pine City, Minnesota; three children, Arianna Schumann of Forest Lake, Minnesota, Tayah Schumann of Pine City, Minnesota, Jack Schumann of Pine City, Minnesota; two brothers, David Schumann and John Malachesen; two sisters, Rosemary Schumann and Cynthia Wallace and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and two sisters.
