Janfry Thoen

Janfry "Bruce" Thoen, age 75, of East Bethel, Minnesota, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on Saturday, April 13, 2013. Bruce was known for his love of the outdoors, growing and tending to a wide variety of flowers and spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren. Bruce proudly served his country in the United States Army. He is preceded in death by sister, Diane Wynveen and three brothers: Greg Thoen, Geoffrey Thoen and Steve Birmingham. Bruce is survived by beloved wife of 34 years, June; son, John Thoen; daughter, Misty Thoen; sister, Eve Johnson; brothers, Patrick (Karen) Birmingham and James "Kip" (Janet) Birmingham; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Forest Hills United Methodist Church, 1790 11th Street SE, Forest Lake. Family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at church. Forest lake American Legion Post 225 will perform military funeral honors at the conclusion of the service.
