Jari Wittwer

Jari Wittwer, age 60, of Harris, died surrounded by his family on April 9, 2011, following a yearlong battle with cancer. Preceded in death by father Elmer; infant daughter Karen Jean. He is survived by his wife of nearly 42 years, Charlotte; children, Kathy (Brian) Jordan, Karla (Dino Mason), Jade, Joseph; 8 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 1 step great grandchild; mother Ardelle Wittwer; brothers, Mike, Dick (Jackie); and sister Jeanne Witte. Jari was a crane operator at Scrappy's in Minneapolis, where he had been employed for 40 years. He was an avid sportsman, hunter and fisherman. Funeral service 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation 4-8 p.m., Tuesday and one hour prior to service Wednesday at Mattson Funeral Home. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. A benefit for Jari and his family is also scheduled for Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Rick Doyle Mem'l Fields in Stacy, beginning at 4:00 p.m.
