Jeanne McMurray

Jeanne M. McMurray(Hammersten) Loving Wife, Mother and Friend Age 62, Of Columbus, Minnesota, died on October 23, 2012. Preceded in death by her father, Jack Hammersten; grandparents, Ada & Dan Wynn, Alma & Byron Hammersten. She is survived by Craig, her husband of 25 years; sons, Jack and Tony; mother, Ruth Hammersten; sisters, Jan Wolke, Joan Finkelson; aunts, Helen Hammersten, Marylou Erickson; and canine companions, Claire and Belle. Jeanne had impeccable taste and a gift of creativity with fabric and decoration, as well as for organizing parties and events. She loved the outdoors in summer, spending her time in the pool and in the garden. A remarkable typist, Jeanne was always ready to lend her sons a hand with report.

She will be dearly missed. In honor of Jeanne's wishes, no services will be held. Memorials may be made to Northwoods Humane Society in memory of Jeanne's love of animals.
