Jill J. Schroeder-Gesinger

Jill J. Schroeder-Gesinger, age 79, of Forest Lake, MN, passed away on December 2, 2024.

Jill was a kind-hearted soul who lived life with passion and a deep love for the simple joys of nature and family. She cherished time spent at her cabin in Sturgeon Lake. Whether it was traveling to the beach or sitting by a quiet lake, Jill found peace and happiness in the natural world.

An animal lover at heart, Jill had a unique connection with wildlife. She delighted in feeding stray cats, raccoons, turkeys, and any creature that crossed her path, embodying a spirit of care and compassion for all living things.

Jill also had a remarkable green thumb. She took great pride in her garden, nurturing raspberry bushes, tomatoes, and peppers. Her home was adorned with her prized Christmas cactus.

In her downtime, Jill enjoyed cooking and baking. Her favorite was making new appetizers. The desire to learn new recipes oftentimes led her to scroll through social media, staying connected to the world, and finding inspiration in the stories and images she discovered.

Jill’s warmth and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness, love for nature, and care for animals will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by parents, Vergil and Jean Bergquist; brothers, David Bergquist, Dean Bergquist; husbands, Edward Schroeder, Ron Gesinger; granddaughter, Maggie Noe; and dear friend, Donna Murray.

She is survived by children, James (Denise) Schroeder, Joyce (Dave) Noe, Jean (Tony) Vincenti; grandchildren, Kristina (Alex) Guck, Ryan Schroeder, Madelyn Noe, Delaney (Matt) Noe, Katie Noe, Ella Noe, Mitch (Assunta) Horak, Mya Horak; brother, Dale (Denise) Bergquist; nieces, nephews, and many friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM, on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake, MN. Family will be greeting friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial at Withrow Cemetery, Hugo, MN.
