Joan Meyman

Joan B. Meyman, age 80, of Linwood. Born August 19, 1934 to Albert and Elizabeth May in Browerville, MN. She died peacefully in her home on October 1, 2014, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Joan married Bernard "Bud" Meyman on May 18, 1953. She was an adventurous woman who loved the outdoors, camping and fishing. She enjoyed her friends, playing cards, volunteering, and staying active in several different clubs. Preceded in death by her husband, Bernard "Bud"; parents; and brother, Herb May. Joan is survived by her sons, Wayne of Rush City, Roger of Linwood, Bernard "Butch" (Pam) of Ham Lake, Tom (Becky) of Ogilvie; grandchildren, Stefani (Ryan), Emily, Kelli, Michael, Hazel, Julie, Robert (Kelly), Bernard "Buddy" (Tabitha), Ben (Rhianna); great grandchildren, Kennedy, Mercedes, Drake; sister, Mary Faustgen; and many other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM, Monday, October 6, 2014 at the Church of St. Peter, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Gathering of family and friends 4-7 PM, with 7 PM prayer service, Sunday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Interment at Linwood Cemetery.
