Joan Svenning

Joan Marie Svenning (nee Bartko), age 78, of Forest Lake, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2012. She was born September 11, 1933 to John and Mary (Zustiak) Bartko in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Joan was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; sister, Ruth (Bernard) Horejsi. She is survived by her sister, Donna (Richard) Flinn of Sun City, Arizona; brother-in-law, David Svenning of Lakeville, Minnesota and the Storlie Family; nephews, Robert (Laura) Flinn of Champlin, Minnesota, Jimmy Flinn of Scottsdale, Arizona; special friend, Merten Schell of Forest Lake, his sons Scott and Dan, and his daughter Dinah Burgess. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Faith Lutheran Church, 886 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation 5-7 p.m., Wednesday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake and one hour prior to service at church Thursday. Interment at Scandinavian Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church.
