John E. Frankson Jr.

Age 98, of Chisago City, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2025, from old age. Known for his kindness and dedication, John was a beloved podiatrist who went above and beyond in caring for his patients. His gentle approach and commitment to their well-being made him a trusted and respected professional.

John’s passion for sled dogs began with just one dog, and over time, he grew his pack to 26, taking great pride in their care. He also loved adventure and enjoyed skiing trips out west, where he fully embraced the joy of the slopes.

Outside of his professional and adventurous life, John had a green thumb and loved to garden. He grew many different vegetables, though his attempt at Brussels sprouts led to a stock—but no Brussels. Despite this, his gardening efforts were a source of pride and enjoyment.

John was a huge fan of the Minnesota Vikings, always cheering them on with enthusiasm.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna Marie; wife, Christine; twin sister, Alice; and his aunt, Alice. He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many cherished family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM, on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Elim Lutheran Church, 20971 Olinda Trail North in Scandia. Family will be greeting friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial on a later date at Elim Lutheran Cemetery, Scandia.

John’s memory will be held dear by all who knew him for his generosity, skill, and love for life.
