John Guslander

John R. Guslander, age 93, of Scandia, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2022.

John was born to John and Eunice Guslander on May 25, 1928, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  His family moved to Marine on St. Croix, Minnesota where he enjoyed working on the family farm. He was married to the love of his life, Lila, for 49 years.  In 1966, they moved to Scandia, Minnesota.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.  John worked for the Washington County Highway Department and was a member of the Scandia Fire Department for many years.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lila; and granddaughter, Danielle; and son-in-law, Bill Linder.

Survived by son, John (Mary Kae) Guslander; grandsons, Josh, Ryan; stepson, Raymond (Jerria) Johnson; stepdaughter, Joanne Linder; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, many other family members, and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM, on Monday, April 18, 2022, at Elim Lutheran Church, 20971 Olinda Trail N, Scandia.  Family will be greeting friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment at Elim Lutheran Cemetery, Scandia, Minnesota.
