John Paffel

John J. Paffel, age 77, of Forest Lake Passed away suddenly at his home on August 6, 2012. Preceded in death by parents, Joseph & Irma; sister-in-law, Ruth Paffel. He is survived by Diane, his wife of 46 years; daughter, Anne; son, Tom; siblings, Jeanette Andersen, Joseph (Marianne), Richard, Maryann (Douglas) Mattson, Kenwood (Kathleen), Sandra Lewis; 5 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends. John was dedicated to the Catholic Church, to his family, and to the pro-life movement. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 9, 2012 at The Church of St. Peter, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation 4-8 p.m., Wednesday and 9-10 a.m., Thursday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to The Church of St. Peter or MN Citizens Concerned For Life.
