John Sheff

John R. Sheff, age 67 of Forest Lake, died while surrounded by his family on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 following a brief battle with cancer. John worked as an engineer for 3M for 28 years before starting his own company, Modern Manuals and More which he operated for the past ten years. He was an extremely organized, detail orientated man who loved to cook. He will be dearly missed and remembered as a loving husband, great father and AMAZING grandpa! He is preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Josephine Chase. He is survived by his wife, Lynn; daughter, Karen (Bryce) Degendorfer and his grandchildren, Aiden and Amelia Degendorfer; children, Brian Sheff, Becky Sheff-Witt; and his grandchildren, Alyssa, Alex and Ashley Witt; cousin, Dawn Turner; many other cousins and wonderful friends. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Private interment will be held at a later date.
