John D. Spjut, age 79 of Scandia
passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 surrounded by his family. Preceded in death by the love of his life Margaret Spjut. Survived by his sister Verlie Staberg; children, Shawn Spjut, Pam (David) Reyes, Mickey (Cheryl) Worden, Robert Worden, Judy (Lyle) Nelson, Joan (Murray) Day; grandchildren, Dakota, Shaunna, Donnie, Patrick, Tami, Rich, Lisa, Kelly, Kyle, Kaylene, Kendra, Kristi, Mel; many great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 26, 2008 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation will be 12:00-2:00 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home. Interment at Oakland Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the family.
