Joseph E. Neumann

Joseph Neumann, age 59, of Chisago City, Minnesota formerly of Cottage Grove and Rochester, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly on February 2, 2024.

Joe was born June 9, 1964, in St. Paul, MN. He graduated from Mayo High School, then served in the United States Army. Joe and Sandy Neumann were married on March 23rd, 1985, in Rochester, MN. Joe was blessed with two beautiful girls Erin and Ashley. He was long time employee with Robert Half.  After his wife Sandy passed away in 2018, Joe built a strong relationship with Carol Hedlund.

Joe was a devoted husband, father, and papa. He enjoyed spending time with family, spoiling grandkids, travelling, camping, trail riding, and fishing. He was always planning for the next adventure. He enjoyed sharing stories and telling jokes.

He is survived by his children, Erin Neumann (Mike Rogers), Ashley (Dan) Schindeldecker; grandchildren Makayla, Christian, and Gentry Schindeldecker; significant other Carol Hedlund; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Sandy Neumann and his parents Calvin and Marian Neumann.

Memorial Services for Joe will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. The family will greet friends from 12:00-2:00 PM, Sunday at the funeral home.
