Perry, Joseph H.age 67 of Forest Lakedied Tuesday, January 20, 2004Joseph Howard Perry was born on January 8, 1937 in Farmington, Minnesota the son of Milton and Helen (Sauber) Perry. He served in the United States Army for 3 active years and 9 years in the reserves. He was united in marriage to Mary Gowan on July 4, 1957 in Karrizozo, Mexico. He was a retired diesel mechanic. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, American Legion, Forest Lake Woodcarvers and NRA. He enjoyed doing the fishing report for Forest Lake Radio. He will be remembered for saying ''the fishing is so good, keep your fingers out of the water.'' He was the Top Trap Shooter in the 70's and the Minnesota State Archery Champion in 1982. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and admirer of wildlife. Above all enjoyed the time he spent with his family and he was the Worlds Greatest Grandfather. He is preceded in death by his father.He is survived by his wife Mary, children Joseph (Donna), James (Cindy), Thomas (Sherry), Timothy (Vicki), and Melanie, 10 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one sister Janice Nelson, three brothers John (Joyce), Dean (Diane), Richard (Patricia), several nieces and nephews. Mass of Chrisitan Burial will be at 10:30 A.M., Friday, January 23, 2004 at St. Peter's Catholic Church-1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 P.M., Thursday at Mattson Funeral Home-343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake, continuing one hour prior to mass on Friday.
