Judy Erickson, age 67 , of Lindstrom. There will only be one Judy Erickson, who passed on June 23, 2015, leaving the world less colorful. She exemplified what being a free spirit is all about. During her transition her son, Shane, held one hand and her daughter, Tracy, the other. She thrived on road trips and her daughter's ducks and dogs. Her siblings agree that she was the smartest, most stubborn and creative. She loved wearing "jamies," and painting her toenails bright colors. She collected turtles, wrote poetry, wore moccasins and while being a Christian, she still embraced her Native American heritage. She died on the same day her mother did in 1986. Judy burst into this world on May 2, 1949, the daughter of her late parents Alton Erickson and Eileen Pugh, shouting, "Look out world! Here I am!" Her siblings Michael E. Erickson, Paul Erickson and Luann Lee Brown miss her already. Nancy Kahle Erickson was as close to her as a sister. She also leaves behind our 85-year- old, Queen Supreme Matriarch, of the entire extended Erickson clan, Bette Erickson. Her daughter, Tracy Hinderman, provided immense comfort and many shared experiences bonded them closely. She gave birth to two sons: Troy, who died shortly after birth, and Shane Paakkonen. She also said "See you later" to her grandsons: Joshua, Ben and Sam, as well as her great grandson, Tray, whom she affectionately called "Buh Buh." Family will share stories about her antics and unique personality, but she didn't want a traditional funeral. Judy was never traditional. Prayers for family are needed and appreciated.
