June Johnson

June L. Johnson, age 77 of Scandia, died Monday, April 19, 2010 while surrounded by her family. June was born June 1, 1932 in Scandia, Minnesota the daughter of Elwood and Evelyn (Magnuson) Anderson. She graduated from Forest Lake High School in 1949 and always looked forward to her reunions with classmates. June worked as a bank teller for Security State Bank of Marine for over forty years. She was an active lifetime member of Elim Lutheran Church as well as a volunteer with Gammelgarden. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lloyd and Lester Anderson. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her including her devoted husband of 59 years Robert “Rabs”; children, Scott Johnson, Shelley (Mark) McShannon, Kent Johnson; grandchildren, Joelle Marier, Christine Marier, Daniel Johnson, Madyson Johnson; sister, Laurel Johnson; many other family and friends.

A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Elim Lutheran Church, 20971 Olinda Trail North. The family will greet friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake; continuing one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment at Elim Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Elim Lutheran Church or Gammelgarden.
