He is preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Rilla (Powell) Benson; wives, Lois and Margaret.
He is survived by his wife Grace; children, Darlene (Roger) Mooney, Darrell (Julianne) Benson, Kevin Benson; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; brother Gerald (Kathleen) Benson; sister-in-law Elsie Benson.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 28, 2008 at Forest Hills United Methodist Church, 1790 11th Street SE, Forest Lake. Visitation will be 9:00-11:00 a.m., Monday at the church. Interment at Rutherford Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the church.
