Katherine Bebinger

Katherine “Katie” Bebinger, 32, passed away peacefully on January 8th, 2022 after a three-year long fight with ovarian cancer. Katie grew up in Ramona and graduated Ramona High School in 2007. She later graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Management from Cal Poly Pomona and immediately began her career. Katie worked at various stadiums around the country as a catering and events manager including Los Angeles Dodgers, Seattle Seahawks and Minnesota Vikings. Katie worked events such as the Grammys and the 2018 Superbowl in Minneapolis. Shortly before her cancer diagnosis Katie was working for the PGA tour, traveling around the country for various tournaments. Katie beat ovarian cancer three separate times while also excelling at her career. On her rare off days, Katie could be found brunching with her friends, playing with her dog Goose, supporting Minnesota United and spending time with her three nieces. Katie loved to cook, watch plays, spend time with family, and celebrate her favorite holiday, Christmas. Her dry humor and quick wit always resulted in laughs no matter the situation. After her first recurrence of cancer Katie’s parents and sister moved out to Minnesota for the family to be closer together (her older sister already lived here). Katie's final home was an apartment in Forest Lake with her sister Allie. Katie is survived by her parents, Bill and Lynn Bebinger, and her sisters Laura (Butchko) and Allie. She was also the proud sister-in-law of Laura’s husband Matt and aunt to their three children Louisa, Emelia and Isabella.
