Katherine Kemerling

Katherine M. Kemerling, age 97, of Chisago City, formerly of Elgin, Illinois, died peacefully on Sunday, July 14, 2013. Katherine was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota and grew up in Chilton, Wisconsin. She later moved to Elgin, Illinois where she was married and raised her family, until 2005 when she moved to Minnesota to be closer to her son. She was very involved in her church and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Anna Schmahl Sr.; husbands, Lloyd H. Baumann, Norman Murray, Richard Kemerling; daughter, Barbara Ann Fuller; one great grandchild; five brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her son Pastor Richard (Sherri) Baumann; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sisters, Emma Helmke, Louise Kleinschmidt; other family and friends. The family would like to thank the caring staff of Parmly LifePointes for their support and care. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Zion Lutheran Church, 28005 Old Towne Road, Chisago City. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m., Monday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake; continuing one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to Zion Lutheran Church.
