Hugo, Minnesota

Kathleen A. Hendrickson, age 73, of Hugo, Minnesota, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025, following complications from heart surgery.

Kathleen was born on October 12, 1951, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, to Raymond and Angeline (Keim) Lowe. The family moved to McIntosh, Minnesota where they lived on the Lowe Farm and later Fosston, Minnesota where she attended a one-room schoolhouse. The family later moved to Mahtomedi, Minnesota until her junior year of high school when they moved to Saint Paul, Minnesota. It was there she met Robert Hendrickson, the love of her life. She graduated from Johnson High School, Class of 1970, and was married on July 9, 1971, at St. Casmir Catholic Church in Saint Paul when Robert was home on military leave.

Kathleen and Robert embarked on a life together that took them from Ft. Hood, Texas, to Saint Paul, where they raised a family. Through the years, Kathleen's passion for caring for her loved ones shone through in everything she did. Whether organizing family picnics, tending to their home, or creating lasting memories, her family was always her priority. Her love for her son and grandchildren was evident in all the moments they shared.

She was a talented knitter and crocheter, she also loved putting puzzles together. Kathleen also enjoyed traveling with Robert in their camper, going on Canadian fishing trips, exploring the country including the western United States and making new memories along the way. She found joy in the simple things, and her warmth, and generosity touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Sarah Hendrickson; her daughter-in-law, Lucy (Poston) Hendrickson; and her sister-in-law, Sally Lowe. She is survived by her devoted husband, Robert Hendrickson; her son, Keith Hendrickson; her grandchildren, Taryn (Nick) Zimmerman, Chris (Katlyn) Poston, Sarah Hendrickson, and Julie Hendrickson; her great-granddaughter, Chloe Zimmerman; her siblings, Don (Linda) Lowe, Deb (Angelo) Gallego, and Vern Lowe; as well as many nieces, nephews, and countless friends and family who will miss her dearly.

Kathleen’s kindness, and unconditional love will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of devotion, care, and a life well lived.
