Kathleen Ann (nee Gary) Metzger, formerly of Forest Lake, Minnesota, died Saturday, March 6, 2010. Kathy is preceded in death by parents, Ervin and Dorothy (Brown) Gary; brother David and sister Laura. Survived by husband Dennis; son, Gary (Katie); step-daughter, January Neumann (Joe Schwartz); grandchildren, Jennifer (Dan Schifsky), David (Sam Starbird), Karissa; great grand children, Aiden , Caleb; siblings, Jerry (Audrey) Boyd, Bill (Jackie), Howard (Marie), Ken (Willie), Tom, Richard, Connie (Tony) Peterfeso, Jean (Kurt) Hinds, Linda Gonser, June (Jim) Kerschner; many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Kathy worked for many companies through the years as a secretary including, Shell, Antler Construction, Alran Construction, and 3M. Kathy had many interests, enjoying sewing, embroidery, reading, fishing, camping, and talking with friends and family. She took numerous vacations to Oregon, Alaska, Arizona, Florida, Hawaii and many more. She will be deeply missed!
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Forest Hills United Methodist Church, 1790 11
th
Street SE, Forest Lake. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake; continuing one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Mahtomedi.
