Kathryn Erickson

Kathryn Erickson, age 82, of Alexandria, passed away January 30, 2017. Prior to retiring, Kathryn had been an LPN at Douglas County Hospital. She was a gifted flower gardener with beautiful gardens. Kathryn had a heart for missions. She, along with friends at the Senior Center, made many Dresses for Africa and quilts for local ministry. She also made hats and mittens to donate at the local elementary schools. Kathryn had a strong faith and loved spending time with her family. Preceded in death by parents, Conrad & Esther Foslien; husband, Clarence Erickson; and sister, Elizabeth Schramm. She is survived by her children, Sandra (Jerry) Antes, Wanda (David Sr.) Hawkins, Linda (Bruce) Jacobson, Paul (Ellen) Christopherson, Peter (D'Vee) Christopherson, David (Michelle) Christopherson, Sara (Kendall) Kramer; stepson, Dennis (Mary Jo) Erickson; 22 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; siblings, Carolyn (Harold) Carlstrom and David (DiAnn) Foslien and many nieces and nephews. Memorial Service 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Alexandria United Methodist Church, 2210 6th Avenue East, Alexandria, MN. Interment at East Moe Cemetery at a later date.
