Kegan J. Russ

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Kegan John Russ, who passed away on September 29, 2024, at the age of 25, in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Born on April 24, 1999, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Kegan brought joy and laughter to all who knew him. Known for his love of the outdoors, Kegan could often be found riding his scooter or enjoying a leisurely car ride with family and friends. His infectious smile and happy-go-lucky nature earned him affectionate nicknames like “Jelly Bean” and “Butterball”. Kegan, a proud graduate of Grand Rapids High School, Class of 2019, cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. He held a special place in the hearts of so many who will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his great grandparents, Virgil and Ruth Erickson; grandpa, Dennis Russ. Kegan is survived by his parents, Tammy and Paul Carlson; brother, Korbin Russ; grandparents, Lori (John) Hill, Ken (Judy) Carlson; beloved cousin, Dean Shalander; aunts and uncles, Dan (Amanda) Carlson, Travis (Laura) Russ, Curt (Teresa) Carlson; many cousins, family and friends. A celebration of Kegan's life and legacy will be held in the coming days, where friends and family will gather to share memories and pay tribute to a life well-lived. In accordance with his wishes, Kegan will be cremated.

 A celebration of his life will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Lakeside Memorial Park, 97, First Street South, Forest Lake, Minnesota.
