Keith Langston

Keith Brian Langston was born January 30th, 1969 in Aurora, IL. He was the son of Gerald and Sheila (Anderson) Langston. He had one brother, Erik (Shanna), and two beloved nephews, Ethan and Eli. Keith attended school in Montgomery and Oswego, IL. After graduation, Keith attended Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, FL where he loved the beach and weather. After graduation with a degree in Communications, Keith joined the US Navy. He served five years as a Navy photographer and spent the majority of his service on the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson in Yokosuka, Japan. Keith enjoyed spending time in a new culture and wanted to share his experiences. He graciously hosted his father on the Carl Vinson, which was a special memory to them both. Keith later received his Masters in English at St. Cloud State University. Post commencement, Keith taught ESL in Melrose and St. Cloud. While teaching, Keith made a sizeable impact on his students, some of whom he remained friends with and who continued to reach out to him during his diagnosis. In his free time, Keith enjoyed target shooting, reading, camping, listening to music, and traveling. Friends were very important to Keith and he collected friends throughout his life and in all corners of the world. Many of these friends connected with him while he was bravely facing his final battle. Keith appreciated his friends' efforts on his behalf. Keith's family was also there to support him during his diagnosis and made many trips to St. Cloud and Good Samaritan. Keith was always happy to see his family and excited when they visited. Above all else, Keith enjoyed spending time with his nephews and often talked about them, especially during his final days. We thank everyone who reached out to Keith during this difficult time. Whether it was a call, Skype session, card in the mail, or a visit, Keith knew he was loved by many. We will miss Keith, but know he is with his Lord and we will one day see him again. He is preceded in death by his father, Gerald Langston; grandparents, Pastor Leonard and Virginia Anderson and Emmett and Carol Langston. He is survived by his mother, Sheila (Neil McLouth) Langston; brother, Erik (Shanna) Langston; nephews, Ethan and Eli Langston; step-brothers, Todd (Debbie) McLouth, Kevin (Beth) McLouth, Barry McLouth; step-sisters, Meghann McLouth and her significant other, John Larkey and Molly (Lee) Gough; many aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Linwood Covenant Church, 6565 Viking Blvd., N.E., Wyoming, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Interment at Victor Hill Cemetery, Linwood, MN.
