Kenneth Edwin Waha, a beloved husband, father, grandpa and brother, peacefully departed this world on April 10, 2024. Kenny was born July 16, 1939 in Bremen Township, Minnesota. He graduated from Forest Lake High School in 1958 before valiantly serving his country in the United States Army for six years.
Kenneth found joy in his diverse career, from operating a dairy farm to contributing to various construction projects with KCI Construction to operating road grading machinery for the State of Wisconsin. His passion for classic cars, especially his meticulously crafted Model A, was evident to all who knew him. An active member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Kenneth's dedication shone brightly as he volunteered his time and skills in numerous capacities including ushering for Sunday services, tolling the bell and contributing the building projects.
He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Gloria Marx on September 16, 1989. Marrying Gloria completed his life, he was welcomed into her family and became a beloved Dad and Grandpa.
His most treasured role was that of a grandparent, always ready to indulge his grandchildren and share his love for gardening with them, providing all the corn and pumpkins they wanted for fall decoration. The loving bond he shared with his family was unmatched, and his laughter and kindness will forever be remembered.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gloria; son, Tom; brother, Dennis Waha. Kenneth is survived by his siblings, Betty Waha, Larry (Pensri) Waha; his children, Julie (Jeff) Garlock, Sherry (Tony) Mitchell, Wendy Marose; grandchildren Angie (Chris) Heckt, Jolene (Ryan ) Davis, Caroline (Mike) Jensen, Kimberly Fischer, Ryan (Clarissa) Mitchell, Jeremy (Dana Knoll) Mitchell, David (Ashley) Marose, Ben (Jamie) Marose Alea (Brett) Marose; 15 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Nancy (Jim) Donovan; many nieces, nephews, family and dear friends, including the Coffee Clubs at Wyoming McDonalds and Reub’s Tire.
In this time of mourning, may we find solace in the memories of Kenneth's laughter, his unconditional love for his family, and the warmth of his compassionate spirit. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all those whose lives he touched.
