, passed away peacefully at his home on June 16th surrounded by family. Survived by life companion, love, wife of 33 years, and pillar of strength, Darlene, son Jesse (Juvelyn), daughter Kelly (Tom) McGuire, grand-daughter Aubreauna Rose and a little one on the way, also 6 brothers and 4 sisters—and a great web of extended family and friends. Preceded in death by parents, Wayne and Mona, and brother Barry. Kevin’s passions were his family, his music, and quiet moments on a lake fishing (catching optional). Wherever Kevin was, including his workplaces General Motors, and later at Lino Lakes Correctional Facility, (where he served as a correctional officer for 18 yrs.) he earned the respect and friendship of all around him. Kevin was diagnosed with a brain tumor in February 2009. That same month he was given a glimpse, an intense spiritual experience, which gave him enormous faith and peace—which he transmitted to countless others in his final year and a half of life. Kevin’s sincerity, generosity and wit, will be remembered—as will his message of trust—as a Commandment, for we are safe in the Lord’s hands. Every time we smell fresh-cut grass, hear a song that touches our soul, laugh so hard our bellies hurt, or utter the words “no worries”—Kevin is with us. The American Brain Tumor Association has created a memorial fund in the name of Kevin LaCroix Armstrong. Donations are preferred in lieu of flowers (
