LaVerne P. Richardson, age 87 of Forest Lake, formerly of Linwood Township, Minnesota, died peacefully while surrounded by her family on Monday, September 1, 2014. LaVerne was born on January 9, 1927 in Hazelton, North Dakota, the daughter of Henry and Christine (Grant) Bracht.
LaVerne enjoyed spending time reading, working on word find puzzles, listening to country western music, and being with her family. She retired from many years of service with Unisys. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, David; grandson, Sean; siblings, George, Edward, Paul, Herb, Clifford, Hulda Bracht, Viola Jacks, Lillian Ridge. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her including her daughter, Gail (Larry Britton) Lundberg ; son, Scott Richardson; grandchildren, Janine Nicol, Michelle (Jeff) Knight; great-grandchildren, Noella Nicol, Kaitlin Knight; siblings, Roy (Sylvia) Bracht, Cleit Bracht, Rose Buske. A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 6:30 p.m., Friday, September 5, 2014 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 31075 Genesis Avenue, Stacy. The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m., until the time of service at the church.
