Leslie Baxter, age 86 of Forest Lake, died, Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at Birchwood Health Care Center.
Leslie proudly served our country during WWII when he enlisted in the United States Navy. He farmed in the Forest Lake area for over 50 years. He will be remembered for his love of woodworking and gardening.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife M. Mable Baxter on January 25, 2005. He is survived by his foster brother, Loren Sparby; numerous foster brothers; brothers in law, Charlie (Donna) Carpenter, Calvin (Odie) Carpenter; sisters in law, Mary Walsten, Luella (Dean) Poe, Effie Peterson; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 30, 2006 at Forest Lake Christian Church, 420 West Broadway, Forest Lake. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Interment at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
