Lewisa Olsen

Lewisa K. Olsen, age 94 of Forest Lake, died peacefully Monday, October 19, 2009 at Birchwood Health Care Center.  Lewisa was born May 23, 1915 in Chilton Township, North Dakota the daughter of Hance and Lillie (Gartmann) Mardin.  She was united in marriage to Christian Olsen.  Together they farmed in the City of Columbus since the 1960’s.  They were members of Crossroads Covenant Church.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son Max; siblings, Pearl, William, Leona, Tillie, Johnny, Marie. She is survived by her children, Donald, Garry (Maureen), Alan (Sue); many grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; family and friends.

A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 22, 2009 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.  Interment at Victor Hill Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.
