Linda M. Meyer

Linda Marie Meyer, a cherished member of the Forest Lake, Minnesota community, passed away on November 21, 2024, at the age of 73. She was born on June 15, 1951, in Fort Madison, Iowa. Linda cherished her role as a devoted wife to her husband, David Meyer, for over five decades and being an incredible mom and grandma. Her wisdom, support and love was an important part in the lives of all who knew her. 

A beacon of light to all who knew her, Linda touched the lives of many through her loving nature and compassionate spirit. Her talents in baking, crocheting, sewing, and painting were truly a testament to her creativity and passion for craftsmanship. Linda always looked forward to the local craft shows where she would share her homemade blankets, stuffed animals, hats and other creations. 

As a school bus driver for the Forest Lake School District, Linda demonstrated unwavering care and consideration for the children she transported, treating them as if they were her own. Her 18 years of service exemplified her dedication to the well-being and safety of the community's youth. 

Linda ‘s legacy of warmth and kindness will forever be remembered by her family and friends. She leaves behind a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Survived by her beloved husband David Meyer; children, Steven, Troy (Sarah), Kelly (Gewan Himraj) Meyer; grandchildren, Jacob, Isaac, Jasmyn, Amelia, Max, Maleah, Jack, Hannah; sister, Diane (Rich) Rogers; brother, Mike Stewart; many other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Franklin and Betty Shafer; brother, Ronald Shafer.

The family will greet friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, December 2, 2024 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake, Minnesota. Inscribed in the hearts of many, Linda’s memory will live on in the profound influence she had on those around her. May she find eternal peace and serenity in the embrace of her loved ones.
