Linda S. Steen

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Linda Steen, on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at the age of 75. Linda was born on July 20, 1948, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, to her loving parents, Harry and Rosemary Steen. She spent her formative years in Roseville, Minnesota, and graduated from Kellogg High School in the Class of 1966 before pursuing her Bachelor's Degree at Metro State.
 
 Throughout her career in social work at Ramsey County, Linda displayed unwavering dedication and compassion for others. She positively impacted the lives of many, embodying kindness, thoughtfulness, and a bubbly spirit that will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
 
 Linda found solace in the serenity of the outdoors, enjoying time by the lake, dancing, and listening to music. Her presence brightened the lives of those around her, leaving lasting memories that will continue to be treasured.
 
 A loving mother to her daughter Kimberlee (Aaron) Philipson, cherished grandmother to Megan and Anna, and a devoted sister to Karen (Jim) Dahl, Vicki (Pete) Steensgaard, and Curt (Bekah Swan) Steen III, Linda leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will forever be held close in the hearts of her family and friends.
 
A memorial service to honor Linda's remarkable life will be held at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake.  The family will greet friends beginning at 6:00 p.m.  Private interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Maplewood, Minnesota.   As we prepare to bid farewell to Linda, let us remember her with reverence, compassion, and a reflective gratitude for the light she brought into our lives.  Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association.  
 
 May she rest in peace and may her memory be a blessing to all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
