Lois Clair Cartier, of Forest Lake, Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2011 following complications from a severe stroke. She was born Lois LeRoux on February 23, 1930 in Centerville, MN to Pearl and Louis LeRoux. Married to Emmet Melvin Cartier in 1949 they raised seven children. She will be deeply missed and remembered for her warm personality, infectious sense of humor and devotion to her family. She is survived by her sons, Jim (Marilynn) Cartier, Ronald (Brenda) Cartier, David (Rose) Cartier; daughters, Ann (Jim) Fell, Carolyn (Grant) Morstad, Debbie (Michael) Banks; 26 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brother, Robert (Janet) LeRoux; sisters, Grace (Angelo) Stella and Diane (Gerard) LeTendre of Centerville as well as brother- and sister-in-laws. She is preceded in death by husband, Emmet M. Cartier; daughter, Janet L. Krancich; father, Louis O. LeRoux; mother, Pearl G. (Houle) LeRoux and sister, Sylvia (LeRoux) Brisson. A special thank you to the staff at Birchwood Nursing Home for the care and compassion extended to Lois and family the final days of her life.
