Lorraine Mills

Lorraine Virginia Mills (nee Johnson), age 86 of Forest Lake, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 14, 2010. Lorraine was a daughter of proud Norwegian immigrants who settled in Wisconsin and founded West Immanuel Church in 1880. Lorraine was united in marriage to George I. Mills on December 19, 1944 in Ohio. Together they lived and lovingly raised their family in Forest Lake for over 50 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hilmer and Nina Johnson; husband George; siblings, Merle Johnson, Paul Johnson, Dorothy Rimnac. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her including her children, Kathy (Larry) Myers, Gloria (Al) Newton, Bette (Mike) Widmer, Barb (Melissa Brunsvold) Peterson, David (Pamela) Mills, Dan (Leigh) Mills; eighteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; siblings, Wayne Johnson, Leila Johnson, Dianne (Bud) Stoppelmoor, Carolyn Van Kleeck; numerous other family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment at West Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Osceola, Wisconsin.
