Luella Peterson

Luella G. Peterson, age 95, quietly went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 20, 2009 at her daughter's home.
Luella Miller was born on August 31, 1913 to Adolph and Bertha Miller in Lyndon WI.
She graduated from High School in Cadott, WI and later received her Bachelor's degree in education from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
She married Orval W. Peterson on March 30, 1935 in Humboldt, IA.
Luella was proud to spend her life as a Pastor's wife in Cadott WI, Missouri Valley IA, Tekamah NE, Fairmont MN, St. Louis Park MN, Chippewa Falls WI, White Bear Lake MN and Park Rapids MN.
She taught as a rural school teacher in her early years and then later on second grade in Forest Lake MN, Florida and Pembine WI.
Luella was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Orval in 1978, daughter Kay Walton, sons-in-law David Lundberg and Dr. Max Winkler, sisters Billie Borth, Eva Lemke, Ada Ohm, Anita Dowling, brothers Walter, Paul and Hugo Miller and parents Adolph and Bertha Miller.
She is survived by daughters Jinny Lundberg of St. Francis MN and Paige Winkler of Rapid City SD and son-in-law Rev. Dennis Walton of Decatur AL, grandchildren Brian Lundberg, Bradley Lundberg, Jenn Walton, Amy Walton, Shari and Wayne Owens, Rev. Gary and Faith Walton, Rev. David and Kay Walton, Rev. Jeff and Judylynn Walton, Robert and Karla Walton, Becki and Troy Nickels, Deb and Don Nye, Tamera and Ken Selting and JR and Denise Winkler, 42 great and great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service 12:00 p.m., Friday, April 24, 2009 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation 11:00 a.m., until time of service at the funeral home. Interment at Brooklawn Cemetery in Cadott, Wisconsin.
