Mae Lundgren

Mae Louise Lundgren, age 87, of Stacy, died Thursday, January 24, 2013 while surrounded by her family. Mae was born May 27, 1925 in Norcross, Minnesota, the daughter of Otto and Anna (Johansson) Lundgren. She was baptized on June 23, 1925. She lived in Norcross with her parents. She attended school there and was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church. She was confirmed in January 1947 by Pastor F.M. Boe in Norcross. She came to live with Edith and Carl Williams where she quickly became a member of the family. She learned to do many things and did them very well. In later life, she was unable to have surgery for her legs and became accustomed to getting around in a wheelchair. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Stacy, Minnesota. Mae had a special place in her heart for all cats. She loved watching the sunrise and even found the beauty in dandelions! Mae especially enjoyed the activity of family and friends around her! She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her including her many nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was greeted in heaven by her parents, Otto and Anna; sisters, Edith and Edna; brothers, Arvid, Roy, Lloyd. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 26, 2013 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 31095 Genesis Avenue, Stacy, Minnesota. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment at Stacy Cemetery.
