Malcolm M. Morley,
age 81
Forest Lake Businessman
Loving father and grandfather,
went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 4, 2007 at his home.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean; sisters, Maureen and LaVonne. Malcolm is survived by his sons, Patrick (Carol), Thomas (Sheila), Robert; daughter, Kristin (John) Trotto; ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; siblings, Shirley Hallberg, John (Liz) Morley, Delores (Jerry) Fairbanks; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Malcolm, a WWII Navy Veteran and Forest Lake Businessman for over 45 years, was active in the community and at St. Peter's Catholic Church.
An avid waterfowler, Malcolm received the Jackson County Conservation Award for his work in restoring wetlands. He served as past president of the American Legion Post 225, participated as a teacher's helper at St. Peter's School, took homebound residents to doctor's appointments and delivered meals on wheels. Malcolm always had a smile on his face and a word of encouragement for those he met. He will be deeply missed by many.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 8, 2007 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation will be 4-8 PM, Sunday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake and 9-10 AM, Monday at the funeral home. Interment in Calvary Cemetery.
