Marilee McCarthy

Marilee Anne McCarthy (nee Fassett), age 61 of St. Paul, Minnesota passed away peacefully in her home after a long battle with cancer. She was a longtime employee of Holiday Station #5 on Rice Street, St. Paul. She is preceded in death by her parents, Francis "Swede" and Marilyn Fassett; brother, Mike Fassett; longtime friend, Wayne LaPenotiere. She is survived by her siblings, Midge (Bob) McRoberts, Mark (Paula) Fassett, Peggy (Terry) Smith, Jeff Fassett, Jon (Robin G.) Fassett, Jill (Lance) Courtier, Robin S. Fassett, Nikki Seegmiller; numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family and close friend, Alvina LaPenotiere. She will be remembered for her kind spirit and great sense of humor. A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 7, 2011 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family would like to invite friends to Marilee's home, 12710 Falcon Court North, Hugo, MN (651-797-4855) on Saturday, October 8 from 1 – 3 p.m. for a continued celebration of her life.
