Marilyn J. Jeukens

Marilyn Joanne Jeukens, a cherished member of the community, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2024, at the age of 92 in Forest Lake, Minnesota. Born on November 9, 1931, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Marilyn's journey was one filled with love, devotion, and service to others. She graduated from Forest Lake High School in 1949 before embarking on a fulfilling career beginning with the State of Minnesota. She was united in marriage to Lawrence Patak; together they had two children. Marilyn worked alongside Larry at Patak Plumbing and Heating for many years before transition to a secretarial position at Forest Lake High School.

Marilyn found happiness in her marriage to Bob Jeukens, with whom she traveled the United States and had memorable experiences with their grandchildren. Marilyn's passion for music led her to sing in the choir at Faith Lutheran Church, where she was actively involved in various committees and made a lasting impact on those around her. Marilyn's legacy of love, devotion, and reliability will forever be cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her unwavering commitment to her family, friends and community serves as an inspiration to all who follow in her footsteps.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Mildred (Ramstrom) Barott; husband, Bob Jeukens; sister, Carol Peterson. She will be deeply missed by her children; Nancy (Paul) Burns, Curtis (Mary Sandell) Patak; step-children, Rhonda (Scott) Schramm, Randy Jeukens, Shelly (Tyelyn) Elie; grandchildren, Zachary, Jacob (Jessica), Noah (Abby), Miles; great grandchildren, Tula, Nels, Barrett, Kash; nieces, nephews, family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 20,2024 at Faith Lutheran Church, 886 North Shore Driver Forest Lake. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Forest Lake. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Faith Lutheran Church.
