Marjorie Maunu

Marjorie Mae Maunu, age 79, formerly of Grand Rapids, Minnesota; currently of Bullhead City, Arizona, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family following a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer. She died at her home at The Meadows on Fairview, Wyoming, Minnesota. Marjorie was born October 8, 1931 in Bass Brook Township, Minnesota, the daughter of Louis and Clara (Ruth) Bemis. She grew up and attended school in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. She was united in marriage to Norman H. Maunu on June 26, 1975 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they made their home in Bullhead City, Arizona. Marjorie enjoyed being with and caring for her beloved husband Norman and occasionally playing bingo. She is survived by her brother, Virgil (Valeta) Bemis; brother-in-law, Julius Koppala; nephew, Steven (Alyce) Koppala; nieces, Lynne Henrichsen, Kaye (Ken) Burgorff. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman who was a retired member of the Los Angeles, California Fire Department; siblings, Lois Panter, Doris Koppala, Marlys Henrichsen, Roland Bemis. Per her request, no formal services will be held and no memorials are preferred.
