Marlin Houfer

Marlin "Bud" Houfer, age 86 of Forest Lake, Minnesota passed away peacefully on February 15, 2012 surrounded by his family at home. "Bud" is preceded in death by 3 siblings. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Elsie and their two children, James (Cheryl) and Marlene (Richard); Grandchildren: Margo Peterson, Dannell (John) Nordstrom, Dietrich Peterson, Jason (Emily) Houfer, Kel (Sarah) Houfer, Robert Houfer; 4 Great-Grandchildren; 2 siblings and other extended family. "Bud" proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a lifetime member of Forest Lake's VFW post 4210. Memorial Service 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 17, 2012 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Family will greet friends one hour prior to service. Interment at Oak Park Cemetery, Columbus City, Minnesota.

Forest Lake VFW post 4210 will be conducting honors at the cemetery.
