Martha Pitschka

Martha Pitschka, age 98, formerly of Forest Lake, died peacefully on Saturday, October 27, 2012. Martha was born on July 8, 1914 in Fairbank, Iowa, the daughter of Walter and Maude (Russell) Webb. As a teenager, the family moved to the Bethel area. She was united in marriage to Harold W. Anderson and they later moved to Forest Lake where three of their four daughters were born. She was later married to George H. Pitschka. Martha worked for many years at the Army Twin Cities Arsenal in Arden Hills. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Forest Lake, Minnesota and Grace Church, Wyoming, Minnesota. She will be fondly remembered for her devotion to her family, children, grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren. They were very important to her and an occasion did not pass without a card or greeting from her! Above all her faith in Christ was an extremely important part of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Harold W. Anderson, George W. Pitschka; ten siblings; daughter, Doris M. Bullard; sons-in-law, Bill Bullard and Frank Klosowsky. She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Janet (James) Bradley, Beverly (Gerry) Brine, Roberta (Jerry) Pepin; nineteen grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren; many other family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 12, 2012 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 807 Highway 97, Forest Lake, Minnesota; which sits on the land where Martha lived as a young wife and mother. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment at Scandinavian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Red Cross or charity of choice.
