Marvin "Gene" Jongquist

age 75 of Almelund

died, Thursday, November 1, 2007

Gene was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served his country during the Korean Conflict. He was a retiree of the Soo Line Railroad. His greatest love was his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Inez (Rosenquist) Jongquist; grandson David Anthony; sister Barbara Brown. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him including his beloved wife of 55 1/2 years Donis; children, Laura (Steve) Aadland, Linda (Rick) Phillips, Scott (Kim) Jongquist, Leane (Andy) Tresler; 23 granchildren; eleven great grandchildren; brother Bill (Joni) Jongquist; his pet Zita Rose.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 8, 2007 at Abundant Life Church, 4359 392nd Street, North Branch, Minnesota. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment at Hillside Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
