Mary Cardey

Mary Lillybelle Cardey(Munsterteiger) age 88, born Oct. 22, 1926, passed away peacefully on July 13 at Fairview Hospital, Wyoming MN. Preceded in death by her husband, Norman; her parents, John and Lillian; siblings Ron, Don, and Leona (Jovanavich). She is survived by her children, Gregory (Lynette) Cardey and Lucinda Stone (Wayne Peterson) (ex-husband Ken); and by siblings, Lorraine Rentz, Connie (Harold) Roeschlein, Jim (JoAnn) Munsterteiger, Clarence "Butch" (Helen) Munsterteiger. Mary will be missed by her 7 grandchildren, Eric Stone, Jeremy (Lanie) Carter, Jenny (Jared) Johnson, Nora (Tim) Stone, Jessica (Ben) Gelle, Tiffany Cardey, Kyle (Heather) Stone, and Christopher Anderson. She was also blessed with 11 great grandchildren, Taylor, Preston, Paxton, Lily, Lauren, Shelby, Gregory, Henry, Quentin, Brandon, and Tori. She was an RN for many years at Forest Lake Hospital and Cambridge State Hospital before working along-side her husband at Token Trophies in Blaine for several years. Mary was an active member of Cedar-East Bethel Lions/Lioness' for 30+ years. Also very active in her Catholic faith, Mary was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Oak Grove serving in a variety of volunteer positions. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 20, 2015 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 19921 Nightingale Street NW, Oak Grove. The family will greet friends from 9:30 a.m., until the time of mass at the church. Interment at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery.
