Mary Pat Sullivan

Mary Patricia "Pat" Sullivan age 91, died peacefully on May 11, 2023. She was born in South Milwaukee WI. She was a loving mother to Mary P (David) Lamwers, Timothy P (Tammy) Sullivan, and Kelly A (WIlliam) Lamwers (William). Grandmother to Melissa, Timothy, David, Thomas, Meghan, Eric, Samantha. Great Grandmother to Michelle, Madeline, Chandler, Julia, Dylan, Olivia, Jayna, Andrew, Wesley, Gavin, Thomas. Sister to Mavis Erickson and Donald Young.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband John Patrick Sullivan, loving Parents Donald Young and Joan Magulski Young.

 

Mom was adventurous let’s just start with jumping out of a plane at the age of 80. Got to help fly a seaplane in her 70's. She loved to travel around the USA as well as Europe. Mom always had a dog. Everyone always said to come back to life as her dog would be the best life ever. She was an amazing artist starting at the age of 17 until her hands just wouldn’t cooperate, she painted and drew what she saw. She also had an uncanny gift of telling stories real or creative. Some of the grandkids believed that deer really lived in trees and would watch them when they were younger. Living in Woodstock each grandchild was introduced to the Dairy Queen down the street. Her best feature, besides being beautiful, was she could make anyone smile and always feel welcome. Her favorite pastimes were spending time with family, having a dog and a book close by. She was married to John for 55 years when he passed away, but this year they will celebrate 72 together. She always told us she thought her real name was “God Damn it Pat” given to her by our dad.

As per her request there is no service just a family celebration (hopefully everyone has a favorite mom/ Pat story to tell ) with all her favorite foods, BUT if you would like to donate to her favorite charities please do. Any Veteran group or Humane Society would be welcome in her name.
