Mary "Kathy" Sternberg

Mary Kathleen Sternberg, age 73, died of heart failure on February 17th, 2018, in North Branch, MN.

Kathy is survived by; her husband, Eugene Sternberg, of Hinckley, MN; her brother Peter Domogalla of Mahnomen, MN; her daughter, Janelle Sternberg (Albert Paredes), of Harlingen, TX; her son Garth Sternberg (Brittney)of Forest Lake, MN; her daughter Deanna Maslowski (Dan) of Forest Lake, MN: her grandchildren Destini and Dustin Maslowski, Estela Paredes, and Gabriella Sternberg; her step grandchildren Destiny Funston and Ethan Higby.

She is preceded in death by; her brother, Richard Domogalla and her daughter, Patricia Sternberg.

Kathy was born on July 10th in Lodi, CA, to parents Peter and Stella Domogalla. She graduated from Mahnomen High School in 1962. She married Eugene Sternberg on November 26th in 1966 and they raised their family in Forest Lake, MN.  For the last 24 years, they were residents of Pathfinders’ Village in Hinckley, MN and spent their winters in Brownsville, TX.

Kathy was a loving and generous mother and grandmother. She loved to cook, bake, sew and crochet. She had a green thumb and loved tending her flowers.   She loved animals; especially horses, cats, and chickens.

Her family and friends will always remember her as a social butterfly who could and would talk to anyone.

Her memorial service is scheduled for June 10th, 2018 at Pathfinder Village’s Great Hall in Hinckley, MN.  The service will begin at 1p.m-2pm with a lunch to follow.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Kathy’s life.
