Max Shipman

Max K. Shipman, age 69 of East Bethel, died peacefully while surrounded by his family following an acute battle with leukemia on Friday, March 1, 2013. Max enjoyed sports, the outdoors and fishing with his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lorn and Rose. He will be dearly missed by his devoted wife Georgene; loving children, Joel (Corrina), James (Denise), Jason (Hope) Shipman; step-children, Susan (John) Nichols, Cynthia (Bob) McManus, Debra (Dan) Toensing, Cary Williamson, Donna (Bob) Boynton; 20 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; siblings, Ilene (Wayne) Pingle, Jerome (Irene) Shipman, Clyde (Marion) Shipman; many other family and friends. Memorial Services will be held at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. The family will greet friends from 4:00 p.m., until the time of service at the funeral home.
